Donations

Books

We always appreciate when patrons want to share their materials with the community, but unfortunately we cannot accept large donations of materials. If you have a small number of books in very good condition, please speak to our director, Edna Ortega, or children’s librarian, Kate Gorman. We typically can only accept items that are in like-new condition (clean, no marks, binding in tact, no torn pages), recent (in the case of non-fiction), and already cataloged (search for the title of the item in the catalog to determine if this is the case).

If you have books you want to donate, there are lots of options nearby! Here are some ways to donate:

Other materials (art, decorative objects, furniture, toys)

Many of our best-loved decorations in the library were donated by the community, but we don’t always have the space for these kinds of donations. Please speak to our director or children’s librarian to determine if we can accept your donation.

Monetary donations and memorial funds

We of course always accept (and greatly appreciate!) unconditional monetary donations. If you would like to donate in honor of a loved one, please speak to our director, Edna Ortega, to make arrangements.
