August for Adults

For the foreseeable future, all our programming will be held outdoors, at the Demarest Train Station, or virtually via Zoom. Sign up for the Adult Events email list to be notified of new programs.

Events hosted via Zoom require you to download Zoom software to your computer or the app to your mobile device, links to all of which can be found here. Always register so we can send you instructions to join. If you need help setting up Zoom, email

First Day Friends – Wednesday, September 1 from 9am to 10am – After dropping off the kids at their first day of school, stop by the Demarest Train Station for coffee, doughnuts, and conversation. Adult Book Club – There will be no Book Club meeting in August. September’s book is Dress Codes: How the Laws of Fashion Made History by Richard T Ford. Request a copy via the catalog or pick one up at the upstairs desk.
Each person will read the part that particularly interests them and then we’ll all get together and talk about the parts we read. Of course, if you are inspired to read the whole book, that’s great too!

To receive an invite, email Out-of-towners welcome!
