Brainfuse is a suite of tutoring, homework help, and studying services available for free with your library card from now through June 15, courtesy of the New Jersey State Library.
Who is it for?
Brainfuse is for students in elementary school through college (including those going through the college application process), their parents, and adults preparing for the GED, US Citizenship Test, or a career change. They also offer live chess tutoring.
What services are offered?
Live Tutoring – HelpNow, Brainfuse’s collection of services for students, offers access to live one-on-one tutoring for homework help, skill building, and test preparation. Tutors are available every day from 2:00pm to 11:00pm, Easter Standard Time.
The Writing Lab – upload a document at any time and receive detailed feedback within 24 hours.
Send Question – this feature allows students to upload a question regarding any subject at any time of day and receive help and advice within 24 hours.
Study Tools – take advantage of HelpNow’s many study tools, including practice lessons, quizzes, skill assessments, flashcards, and MEET to organize study sessions with classmates.
Figure Out Your Next Step – Brainfuse offers eParachute to help you determine areas of career interest and the CollegeNow SkillSurfer unit to get ready to apply to colleges.
Adult Learning Center – prepare for the GED or US Citizenship Test, take lessons in MS Office, find career resources, and get help writing (or revamping) your resume. the Writing Lab, Send Question, and access to live help from tutors are all available to adults through the Adult Learning Center.
How can I access Brainfuse?
You can open Brainfuse in your internet browser on your computer, phone, or tablet. If you prefer, HelpNow features can be accessed through the Brainfuse app once you’ve set up your account.
