November for Kids

Our new youth services librarian, Cara Scott, joined us on October 28! Stay tuned for new programs.

Storytime at the Train Station – Mondays at 10:30am – for infants to 4 year-olds – Join Ms. Cara for stories, songs, and coloring at the Demarest Train Station. Please bring your masks. No registration necessary.

Read to a Dog – Thursday, November 18, 4pm-5pm at the Demarest Train Station – ages 5 to 11 – Children can practice their reading one-on-one with an adorable and loving therapy dog! Children may register for one ten-minute session.

Thanksgiving Arts & Crafts – Monday, November 22, 3:30pm at the Demarest Train Station – ages 4 to 8 – Join Ms. Cara at the Demarest Train Station at 24 Park St for fun & simple Thanksgiving crafts! Children must be accompanied by an adult and masks are required.

Zoom Book Clubs are back!
Upon registering, a copy of the book will be reserved for you and you’ll be notified when it’s ready to pick up.

1st & 2nd Grade Book Club – Tuesday, November 30, 4pm – 4:45pm – First and second graders will be discussing Humphrey’s Really Wheely Racing Day by Betty G Birney

3rd & 4th Grade Book Club – Wednesday, December 1, 4pm – 4:45pm – Third and fourth graders will be discussing Wishtree by Katherine Applegate

5th & 6th Grade Book Club – Thursday, December 2, 4pm – 4:45pm – Fifth and sixth graders will be discussing When You Reach Me by Rebecca Stead
