October for Kids

Our new youth services librarian, Cara Scott, will join us on Thursday, October 28. Until then, the children’s room will be a little quieter than usual. You are still welcome to come visit and borrow books, play with toys, or use the Early Literacy Stations.


Storytime at the Gazebo – Mondays at 10:30am, weather permitting – for infants to 4 year-olds – Join Melissa for storytime and play at the Demarest Gazebo. Please bring your own masks and blankets.

Storytime Meet & Greet – Thursday, October 28, 10:30am at the Train Station – for infants to 4 year-olds – Bring the little ones in their costumes for a special storytime meet and greet at the train station! No registration required.

Trick-or-Treat at the Library – Friday, October 29, after school on the library lawn – all ages – Drop by the library on the way home from school to meet Ms. Cara and pick up a goody bag!

Town Halloween Parade & Fall Festival – Saturday, October 30, 4:00pm – all ages – Ms. Cara will be at the Demarest parade with Halloween stories and goodies. Stop by to say hello!
