Who We Are:

The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is a group of Demarest resident teens, grade 8 and up, who are focused on volunteering their time to collaborate with the library staff and their community to not only achieve the TAB mission goals but also to support overall library programs and initiatives.

Our Mission Statement:

The mission of the Demarest Public Library Teen Advisory Board is to encourage and inspire teens to become frequent library users by developing, promoting, and facilitating programs, volunteer opportunities, and overall services for the teen population!

Meetings:

The TAB meets in person once a month on a specified Sunday from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.! We will be in the Teen Room at the Demarest Library unless otherwise notified.

Requirements of TAB Members:

  • Members must be in 8th-12th grade (ages 13 and up).
  • Members must be current residents of Demarest.
  • Members must attend monthly meetings.
  • Members must be willing to attend and participate in TAB events.
  • Board positions are for one year only. Members must re-apply each year.
    • Seniors who were Board Members the previous year are allowed to maintain their positions if desired.
